Derek Dyer is a fan of fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, and literary works alike. He is an avid war-gamer, a beer snob, a web developer, a student, and likes to sometimes to consider himself a writer. Derek is married to his loving wife Shawna Dyer who constantly challenges him and inspires him to utilize his creative potential. Derek and his wife currently reside in Simi Valley, CA. Matthew Taylor, much like Derek, is a fan of many genres of writing: fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, international relations, and writing books. He is an avid writer, model maker, war-gamer, beer drinker, and practices Judo. Currently single, but always looking for the potential match! He likes to be active in his community through acts of volunteer work. He is an active member of the church he attends, and has an associates degree in Political Science. Derek and Matt have known each other for over 90% of their lives, ever since they were wee lads playing "Star Wars" on their kindergarten playground. Both were excited at the opportunity to share their love of writing in a joint venture that took the form of Wordsmith's Foundry!
